Today's Card Of The Day is: Page of Swords

Today we have the page of swords (Dill) joining us which tells me, intuitively, that today we have to think of our message, we have to listen to others messages. This is an especially important card today on Election day in the USA, because we need to choose who's message we are going to believe in for the next presidential term. It's important, and as much as I try to avoid all things politics I must say as an intuitive this is the most important election to date, in my life time, that I have picked up. Great things are possible but we must use our minds (an aspect of this card), and pick the proper one. Okay now not all my readers are american and not all are voting today, so today's message for you is: it's time to act from a place of truth, we need to use our minds to best bring towards us the life we desire. This is a day to have your mind focused on the future you wish to see, speak your truth, speak the message that is in your heart, do so from a place of truth and honest, be direct and bold, it is not the time to give up.

Today's Card of The Day is: 10 Of Wands

Today we have the 10 of wands (prickly Ash Bark) which is pretty applicable for me right now. I am sure that it is for several others as well. The 10 of wands is all about heavy burdens that we choose to carry, it is a choice to carry these burdens. To carry them assures that we won't make it to the finish line, and if we do make it there we may just be so tired from carrying them we won't care at the end that we did make it! This is also a card of over-extending ourselves, and pushing ourselves too far, running ourselves ragged to make ourselves sick. This isn't a pretty card (though I think the deck is pretty) its not a card of foresight it's a card of limited vision. Today lets let go of all things that are not ours to carry, you would be amazed at how much we carry that isn't ours. Liberate yourself.

Card Of The Day 10/29

Today's Card Of The Day is: The Tower

First and foremost, I knew this card would come today. With Sandy/Frankenstorm rolling through i knew that the tower would show it's face as I picked up the deck I had a vision of it.... I used to hate to see the Tower it meant complete upheaval of my entire life everything i had worked so hard to keep "perfect" would be torn down and i would see the ugly truth of my life at the time. (it was ugly) .... 

With that in mind, i do not think today's appearance of the tower is about personal upheaval. I believe this card is like a wildfire that ravages a forest trees and lives are lost, but only so new growth can take it's place. This is the true cycle of nature. There will be property damage, there is the potential for loss of life *when authorities warnings are not heeded- evacuate for heavens sake if they say too!*, but this is only so new things can grow, to add nutrients back into the soil. This is how nature works, this is the laws we are required to play by when we live on planet earth. Sandy has the potential (and has been) a devastating storm. Do not become trapped in a dangerous situation out of pride or negligence or just plain old stubbornness. I see ghosts trapped inside, and I see nature doing her thing outside. Pay attention, nothing at all is worth the cost of your life or those you love.

Today we are joined by the nine of swords which I can honestly believe. Right now in our world we have a lot going on so much to worry about. How are we going to pay our bills? Should we stay at our current job- or leave? Is this person we are with the right one for us? There is so much that can keep us up at night worrying and going over the same old thoughts in our minds. That is what this card is about ~ the things that wont go away that keep us worrying, obsessing, and it's not healthy. However, sometimes we need to go through this in order to come to a conclusion of what we are going to do. There is no point in worrying if you are not going to try to do something to take care of it. If you are being plagued by these types of thoughts look for possible solutions- if you can't find anything that may help, then work on letting them go.

Today's Card Of The Day is: Five of Cups

Today we are stuck in a rut. We are focusing on what we don't have, what we have lost. The sea is turbulent which means emotionally we are in a state of discontentment & mourning. We are stuck within our own hearts, and heads today. We have riches, we still have some of our emotional good things in tact but we can't see that today, today we see what we have lost, what we do not have. Today isn't a happy go lucky day, maybe some of us just got out of a relationship someone broke up with us or left us, some of us maybe have lost a job or someone we thought was a friend. Today is about loss, regret, and wishing we could go back. Remember we are un-able to physically go back and erase events that have happened. If there is something that you wish you handled differently we can always do a meditation to go back and send positive energy and love too the situation, this can and and does affect us and the future.

Today's Card Of The Day is: Strength



Today we have a great card, Strength, joining us. Strength is something we all have whether we realize it or not. Generally it comes when we are ready to throw the towel in. This card is about reaching deep within ourselves and finding the inner power we have to move forward. This card usually depicts a beautiful dainty woman holding open the mouth of the "king of the jungle" the lion. Certainly the lion could eat this woman if it so choose but the lion seems content and happy to let this woman hold it's mouth open. This card is also about patience, compassion, and self control. All traits certainly needed for holding open the lions mouth. You have the stamina needed to proceed on whatever it is you are about to give up on! Go forward!

Today we are carrying extra burdens. We have picked up an awful lot to carry a long the way, thoughts, ideas, fears, things that no longer really serve us but we are willingly carrying anyways. Why? Why are insistent on carrying these mentally, emotionally, and physically heavy things? We can see our end in sight it is there, we are probably shifting things from arm to arm to be able to make it to the end, but if we really ever want to get there we are going to need to let go of some of these mental, physical, and emotional things we carry. Do not tax yourself too much take time to nurture you- it is only through nurturing that you will find the ending you desire.

Today The moon joins us. The moon card is a mysterious card, which casts an eerie glow upon all it touches. The moon empowers those who follow her sacred path, she lights up the darkest of nights. Yet sometimes what is seen in her light is not what it appears to be, which may be causing us to be fearful and scared. Remember that often the moonlight's glow often makes things seem to be something they are not. Take your time on derision making and jumping to conclusions because of how things "look". The four of wands comes to us today to remind us to play and have fun. We have worked hard to get where we are but we forget to take time for ourselves and our own personal enjoyment. Today's Card Of The Day is: Death

Today's card is Death, this is one of the most scary and ominous cards in the deck if you are not educated on the tarot.  I personally view this card as change, after yesterday's The Tower Card I see this as a deep and personal change, no matter what we all must face death in our lives either real death like the loss of a loved one. Or a personal death the deep and changing transformation that death leaves us with. It does us no good running away from something that we will never outrun. Our society fears death so much We try to conquer it, we try to buy us time in the end though death will always win. Today something will end, something will run out, there will be transitions that will need to be dealt with today. Maybe you need to end a relationship, a friendship, a business contract, maybe someone will end something with you. When death comes it is never pleasant at first but usually it is for the best.

Today's Card Of The Day is : The Tower

Today something is going to happen that is going to shake the foundation of our being. This is not necessarily a bad thing, this may mean we get news that shatters the walls we have built such as a pregnancy (a life changing event), or possibly a proposal. Yes no matter if this is a horrible thing such as a death or a sickness- you will not be the same at the end. I pulled this card a lot when I was growing up and overtime grew to hate it's arrival-I am a little more mature now that the period has come to an end. This may also relate to a release of energy or a situation. What a haunting card, these spirits are banshees- something close to my heart, I was always called a banshee when I was little because I used to scream ALL the time. Banshees would often warn family members of trouble ahead, and when she appears you can bet change is in the air. Lisa says this card means that a female will provide a needed wake up call, she is a powerful speaker and will deliver the truth as you need to hear it. Some other things to consider are now allowing your inner dialog to cause you depression or pain, using your mind today and your communication skills. Today's Card Of The Day is: Eight Of Cups

Today we have the suit of cups ruler of emotions, relationships, our intuition- directed by the element of water and direction is west. We in our area are entering the season of fall which is ruled by water! Today we need to look at the deeper meaning of things that are around us, we need to go within. I foresaw this card this morning but in a different way- for me this card is about the season of fall, it's about moving on, preparing to look deep within us, fall always leaves us with a sense of dread because we know that winter is to follow. It is within our genes, our genetic code to worry when winter comes, will we have enough to survive? This card speaks also about arrogance and breaking away of tried traditions for the sake of pride- in the long run costing us much more than would have been needed in the first place. Today I am reading with my new deck ( I couldn't resist!!!). What a great card for today too, we are due for an adventure and boy can I feel it. This past weekend was an adventure for me, I went somewhere I hadn't been. Today's Card of The Day is: Five of Cups

Today we are joined by this less than pleasant card. Just as this card illustrates we are going to be mourning over something today. Something is lost to us and we can only see that, mourning is an essential part of human nature. We each have different mourning periods some can be okay quickly while others it takes a while to fully let go. This person is focusing on what they have lost these three cups have spilled never to be retrieved again. However, there is a certain glimmer of hope in this card, there are still two full cups behind this person, they are not focusing on what they still have- they are only focusing on what they have lost. Today's Card Of The Day: Knight Of Pentacles

Today the knight joins us bring us a message of working hard for our prosperity. As the work week begins after the American holiday Labor day we are being reminded that we need to get on our horse and direct it towards the prosperity we want and deserve. There are few hand outs in life, and this card is telling you that you have to take the reigns of your life and steer it towards what you desire. Yes that is traditionally the chariot card but I am getting this message in this card today, so many of us need a job or more money or want a more "homely" atmosphere in our lives but are we working towards it? We need to be unwavering in our decisions, realistic, and hardworking then what we desire will surely come much easier for us!

Today we are visited by Raven. Raven comes to us to us to speak of magick, we may have been going through a dark time or are in desperate need of something- Raven comes and places synchronicities from spirit in our path. They say there is no such thing as coincidences and I believe that. Maybe we have given up hope in magick being real and are ready to throw in the towel, raven comes to day to remind us magick exists, don't give up, there is great power in the in-between places that witches go. Today I want each one of you who read this to make a wish , will it into being and know that it if it's of the highest good of all that it will come to pass, now I want you to let this wish go. Seeds don't grow when we constantly dig them up checking how they are growing, we have to trust that there is life springing forth from the seeds *wishes* we plant.

Today's Card Of The Day is: Letting Go 

Today I pulled us a card from Colette Baron-Reid's deck The Wisdom Of Avalon.This deck is quite powerful, today we need to focus on letting go and especially poignant card after yesterday's card- of tight control. We need to release attachments to emotions, people, situations, and places. We need to allow spirit to take the reigns of our life for a while and allow the great mystery to take over. We need to let go of our control over the world around us- our world- spirit when asked will work on our behalf but sometimes we need to get out of the way. If it's the past we are holding on too then we need to let go of the past because it's place is no longer with us, if you are holding on to old loves or painful memories this card reminds us the act of letting go is vital to our well-being.

The end is in sight you can see where you want to go, your destination but you can't under the conditions you have put yourself through right now. You have too much going on! You may eventually under a quite a bit of stress and a long hard journey make it to your destination but you would get there a lot faster if you let go some of the things you are carrying! Let go of things that are no longer serving you, thoughts, feelings, people, etc.
